Zombie-Talking
Well, this is my first day using my new voice-activated software. And so far, so good. When I started it, I had to talk like a zombie, which drove me nuts and I wound up calling the call center for help. After an hour of talking with the help center, I was at last able to get the system running and now I can actually use it. In fact, it's kind of fun.
So, let's get to the lingerie. What makes something lingerie? Is something lingerie just because it's called a "garter "? This is the situation I'm up against. People - i.e., boutique owners - hear the word "garter " and don't understand what I mean, despite photos and descriptions. And they freak about them being lingerie. (Oh no!! Not lingerie!!!) Which they're not - they're really more a quirky take on lingerie.
So, it seems I'm on the cusp of something. Young people like the garters. Trendy people like the garters. Even tech-y people like the garters. I mean, I'm getting calls from Europe, for god's sake. Clearly, there is a disconnect here somewhere.
So, is something lingerie just because it's based on lingerie? Is a corset blouse the same as a corset? Is a petticoat-shaped skirt the same as a petticoat? And, in the end, does it really matter? I mean why do we need to categorize it? Isn't it enough to be cute and fun and practical? It's a trifecta, for god's sake.
