Tip #6: Get Some Sleep!

When life gets hectic, sleep is often the first thing we bump off our list. After all, we can’t skip work or leave the kids at daycare, and we’ve all got to eat. So we laugh at the idea of 8 hours a night and get by on seven, or six. Maybe five.

After a while, though, it starts to wear on you. Whether it’s getting to bed a bit earlier, starting your day a bit later, or squeezing in a nap when you can, find ways to let your body rest. Even if you can’t do it every day, a little extra will go a long way.

Guest Blogger: Tribal Belly Dancer and Artist, Blume

Today's guest blogger is Tribal Belly Dancer and Artist, Blume. She says:

"Being comfortable is one of the most important things in life. Whether you’re at work, home, or on vacation, being comfortable plays a big role. Here are some things that I do to stay comfortable all the time:

* Make sure to always have items with you that keep you comfortable and happy. For me, these things include a fabulous book – like “Extremely Loud, and Incredibly Close”, a blanket and pillow – yes, keep them in the car; they will provide comfort at any time of the day when you are out. And be sure to have healthy snacks and water – I recommend crackers and fruit.

* Also, be sure to wear comfortable clothing. Yes, I know sweat pants are comfortable, but you can’t wear them to work, right? Instead, think of comfortable clothing in a new way. Wear clothes that aren’t too small – they’ll look better on your physique. Wear soft, comfy fabrics that make you feel good all day."

For some soft, comfy yoga pants, t’s, and tanks… try Blume's website at www.bellydancegear.com. You’ll feel comfortable and look nice enough to run out to the grocery store, movies, or even lunch with a friend!

Tip #5: Asking for What You Want

Whether it’s something you want to do with a friend, a raise you’re due for at work, or your sandwich order done just the way you like it, it never hurts to ask. Sure, someone might say no – but, then again, they might say yes.
